A major facility of the Key Lime Sailing Club, the Florida Sailing School is one of the few hands-on ‘sailing schools’ in the world where making learn-to-sail dreams come true in a perfect yet affordable vacation setting. The Club has a fleet of Catalina 22′s and O’Day 22′s available for guests to use as soon as they complete their classes and even larger boats for the Advanced Sailing Course.  This is a unique sailing vacation experience because with each guest’s Florida “Key-zee” accommodation unit comes along a free use of a sailboat at their disposal during their stay.

We are also proud of the fact that the British Royal Marines pay us a visit every year to undergo intensive training using our staff and facilities: a testimony to our dedication in providing quality learn-to-sail programs.

Whether it is sailing off for a mangrove jungle or heading off to one of the Florida Everglades National Park islands, free to relax, sail and enjoy the rest of your vacation at your own pace as soon as you complete the 10 to 15 hour course.  The course can be taken from two to five days period depending on your level of learning.

With the School’s thorough yet enjoyable curriculum, students will learn all they need to know to safely and effectively navigate their way from points A to B to C and beyond; and, more importantly, how to get back!

We provide people of all ages and from all walks of life a sailing experience to develop character, build self-esteem and a sense of awareness of the needs of others through teamwork and the shared adventure.
